The SAQR offers an innovative solution that delivers highest level protection and despite it’s heavy armor,SAQR is designed with ergonomic seating, climate control, and maneuverability to ensure that personnel can operate efficiently under challenging conditions, with the cost in mind, it is built on a heavy duty chassis of Toyota Land Cruiser 79 series, powered by 304 horsepower, 4.5L V8 Diesel engine, 6 speed automatic/Manual gear transmission.
The SAQR LAPV relies upon 10mm to 14mm thick armor plates to provide CEN B7/ SATANG II level 2b protection from five sides. The vehicle has a high ground clearance which increases protection from mine and IED blasts, it can withstand up to 6kg of explosive force under its hull.
